Dr. Christopher Kelly is a 2009 graduate of the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Born and raised in Mechanicville, New York, Dr. Kelly developed an early interest in the care of animals. In 1998, he completed an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology at the State University of New York at Delhi. He then practiced as a registered veterinary technician at a mixed small animal and equine practice in Wendell, North Carolina. There he gained a considerable amount of practical and technical experience in the veterinary profession while completing a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at North Carolina State University. Dr. Kelly’s rewarding experience as a veterinary technician compelled him to pursue further education and training to become a veterinarian. Following graduation from the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, he spent a year practicing small animal medicine in Cary. He was excited to join the team at Bayleaf Veterinary Hospital in June of 2010.
Dr. Kelly spends much of his free time mountain biking and enjoys camping and photography.
